"Nice friendly staff. Clean rooms. Parking should be free with how unsafe and brutal the area is. The sidewalks around have dog poop and homeless tents. There are people with campers living on the street in front of the hotel. There is a U-Haul right there bringing extra fun. They were trimming the trees and we got pelted with branches and debre while we were trying to pack are car up in the check in/out area in front of the hotel doors. Back window of the car was hit with something and chipped, ended up cracking as soon as we entered the highway. "

"I loved the ocean view and the balcony. There are many seals across the street and plenty of shops within walking distance. Some people might complain about the noise of the seals, but if your window is closed you can’t hear them. I kept the balcony door open just a little and I could only hear a seal once in a while at night. Waking up to that ocean view was just beautiful. I had planned to leave the following day, but I had gone to La Jolla for a medical procedure and I didn’t feel well that night, so I had my husband ask at the front desk, if we could stay another night for the same price. I don’t know if this was an exception for me, since I was still recovering. Either way, I was very grateful and they were very nice about it. I will definitely go back again. I’d also add that I stayed in one of the remodels, not the older buildings. Thank you La Jolla Cove, for making my trip less stressful. "
