"Another tourist referred to the area as "grungy", I think that means dirty & common to see drug use & homeless people. In saying that this is probably what the area is known for & part of the attraction. The location was fantastic, literally right on the beach, & all the staff were also great, & once we got the "grunge thing" really appreciated the location. If you want to be in the middle of it this is probably the most cost effective place to do it."

"Customer service was excellent and check-in was very easy. You can tell they clean the room very well, but when you start looking closely, it looks like the hotel has a very serious black mold problem. I could see it under the toilet, but only because I used the bathtub. You could see it in the baseboards that have been painted over, coming out in some of the tiles, etc. I spent $200 for a night. But I would rather spend $50 more to stay in a hotel that didn’t have mold. So if you need a place...
